Over the past few years David was a much valued member of our small group at St Luke's. We met many times in his flat at Hilton Grange and he was always such a welcoming host. He has now gone to his reward in Christ but will be much missed in the group for who he was and for the wisdom and insight that he brought into the discussions. Will miss you David. Martin Atkinson

David, It was a pleasure to know you and a joy to care for you. I don’t think I have ever had an interaction with you that hasn’t resulted in one or both of us laughing. David was such a lovely gentle, encouraging, generous, humble man and was godly enough to know that all of these were gifts from God. David (and Judith) gave generously, which enabled me to go and be trained up and do evangelism alongside churches in Lancashire when I was 19. I learned so many lessons that have stayed with me. The family's generosity also gave us some lovely holidays down in Devon, for which I am very grateful. I am grateful for David's example of consistent service to God and his people and the way he truly cared for people. I rejoice (as David did) in the sure hope we have in Jesus and look forward to meeting again for an eternity with our wonderful King. Lisl Wylie

David , As a family we are honoured to have known you so many years as BFF’s to Susannah. You have always made us feel welcome, loved encouraged and taken an interest in us. We have enjoyed your light hearted tone positivity and joie de vivre on many occasions. A special occasion over a few years ago when you came to visit over Xmas and talk of your childhood and time abroad during the war. We have seen you on many occasions over the years and you have been present in our lives, we feel your influence and presence through Susannah and your wonderful children.
